Antonio Marras was born in the Sardinian town of Alghero. The island has always had a strong influence on his aesthetic. His fashion debut was the result of a fortunate coincidence. A fashion house in Rome commissioned him to design a prêt-à-porter collection in 1987. His invitation was due to his dual skill set: Marras has always been involved in all forms of artistic/creative expression, both cultural and technical, thanks to his knowledge of materials and forms.
